Research on isotope measurement
As well as providing routine measurements, ALS Scandinavia AB also conducts research on isotopes in close co-operation with several external institutions, particularly the Divisions of Applied Geology and Chemistry at Luleå University of Technology. This has resulted in a number of publications in the scientific literature ( see List of publications).

High-precision isotope ratio measurement packages
In 2002, Luleå University of Technology purchased a dedicated instrument for isotope ratio measurement, a multi-collector (MC) ICP-SFMS system, which is installed in ALS Scandinavia AB's laboratory. Using MC-ICP-SFMS, ALS Scandinavia AB can now offer several high-precision isotope ratio measurement packages (see Price list) based on methods developed during the course of this collaborative research:
